Types of Badminton Games
- Singles: In singles badminton, one player competes against another, with the objective of winning points by hitting the shuttlecock over the net and into the opponent’s court in such a way that it cannot be returned.
- Doubles: Doubles badminton involves two players on each side of the net. Coordination and teamwork are crucial as players work together to cover the court and outmaneuver their opponents.
Size of Badminton Court
The standard size of a badminton court is 13.4 meters (44 feet) in length and 6.1 meters (20 feet) in width for doubles play. For singles play, the width is reduced to 5.18 meters (17 feet). The net is placed at a height of 1.55 meters (5 feet 1 inch) at the edges and 1.524 meters (5 feet) at the center.

Site Preparation
Clear the site of vegetation and debris, excavate to the required depth, and grade and level the area. Install a stable sub-base layer and a comprehensive drainage system.
Surface Installation
Depending on the surface choice, lay natural grass, artificial turf, or hybrid grass are used. For artificial turf, add infill materials for cushioning and stability.
Finishing
Install essential infrastructure like goalposts, lighting, line markings and conduct a thorough inspection. Establish an ongoing maintenance plan to ensure the longevity.
